The lecture was delivered by Boban Šćepanović, co-founder of the TravelAizer platform, a partner company of Mediterranean University Podgorica.
The event brought together representatives of academia, innovative businesses, and students with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experiences, and modern practices in tourism, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship.
A special segment of the lecture was dedicated to presenting the shared vision of the HMI2MARKET project and the TravelAizer digital platform. Teaching associate and PhD candidate at Montenegro Tourism School, Đorđina Janković Erceg, presented the common vision of the HMI2MARKET project and the TravelAizer digital platform, emphasizing that both initiatives promote:
- a user-first approach
- innovation-driven entrepreneurship
- digital solutions that contribute to the local economy and community
Their shared values are:
- human-centered technologies
- innovations that create real value for the community
- development of sustainable and inclusive tourism
- stronger collaboration between universities, industry, and society
While TravelAizer, through the largest national tourism digital platform, connects tourists, local businesses, and authentic experiences across Montenegro, HMI2MARKET promotes human-centered innovation, entrepreneurship, inclusion, and stronger cooperation between higher education, industry, and society.
Through a dynamic discussion, important topics were raised regarding the future of the tourism industry, the role of young professionals, and the importance of HEI transformation through collaboration between academia and industry.
TravelAizer is a practical example of how an idea based on people’s needs can, through technology, entrepreneurship, and community collaboration, become a sustainable and scalable product applicable in tourism.
This event represents an important step in disseminating the HMI2MARKET project vision and supporting the transformation of higher education through the development of an innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem at Mediterranean University Podgorica.
